Maharashtra Weather Update: Cloudy Skies, Moderate Rain, And Rising Mumbai Lakes Water Levels
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Mumbai will experience a generally cloudy sky with moderate rain today. The temperature is expected to range between 27 degrees Celsius and 31 degrees Celsius.

Maharashtra Weather Alerts
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow alerts for several regions in Maharashtra.
Heavy rainfall and lightning thunderstorms are expected in isolated places in Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Gondia, and Yavatmal.
Thunderstorms with lightning is likely at isolated places in Akola, Amravati, Bhandara, Buldhana, Nagpur, Wardha, and Washim.
Mumbai Lakes Water Level
The water levels in Mumbai's seven reservoirs, which supply the city with drinking water, have reached 97.12 per cent, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Tuesday morning.
BMC data shows that the total water stock in these lakes is currently at 14,05,679 million litres, representing 97.12 per cent of their capacity.
Mumbai sources its water from the following lakes: Tulsi, Tansa, Vihar, Bhatsa, Modak Sagar, Upper Vaitarna, and Middle Vaitarna.
Here's the current water level in each lake:
- Tansa: 98.37 per cent
- Modak Sagar: 98.99 per cent
- Middle Vaitarna: 98.66 per cent
- Upper Vaitarna: 97.45 per cent
- Bhatsa: 95.87 per cent
- Vihar: 100 per cent
- Tulsi: 100 per cent
