Maharashtra Weather Today: IMD Issues Yellow Alert In Mumbai And Beyond; Expect Heavy Rainfall

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issues a Yellow Alert for Mumbai, forecasting a cloudy sky with heavy rainfall. Residents of the financial capital can expect temperatures to range from a minimum of 27 degrees Celsius to a maximum of 32 degrees Celsius.

July 7 will see a minimum temperature of 27 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 30 degrees Celsius. Expect a cloudy sky with moderate showers.

July 8 will have a minimum temperature of 26 degrees Celsius and a maximum around 30 degrees Celsius, with a cloudy sky and moderate rainfall.

July 9 is expected to have a minimum temperature of 26 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 31 degrees Celsius, accompanied by rain.

On July 10, expect a minimum temperature of 26 degrees Celsius and a maximum reaching 31 degrees Celsius, with anticipated rainfall.

IMD Issues Yellow Alert

The IMD issues yellow alerts for several districts across Maharashtra. Palghar, Thane, and Raigad are expected to experience heavy rainfall in isolated places. Nasik will also receive heavy rainfall in isolated ghat areas.

Ratnagiri and Pune may witness heavy to very heavy downpours in isolated ghat areas. Additionally, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are expected in Bhandara, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Gondia, Wardha, and Yavatmal, placing these regions under yellow alert as well.

IMD Issues Orange Alert

The IMD issues an orange alert for Kolhapur and Satara, anticipating heavy to very heavy rainfall in isolated ghat areas.

Maharashtra Monsoon Update

The IMD predicts that there is a possibility of more than average rainfall in most parts of Maharashtra. The 'El Nino' ​​condition may remain neutral in the initial phase. But in the second phase of monsoon i.e. in July or August, 'La Nina' condition is likely to occur. The Meteorological Department has clarified that the La Nina conditions are favourable for this year's monsoon in the country.
