Maharashtra Weather Forecast: Umbrellas Up! Mumbai To Experience Continuous Heavy Rain This Week
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that Mumbai will be soaked in heavy rain with cloudy skies, bringing much-needed relief from the heat but causing woes on the ground.
Today, Mumbai will enjoy a cool minimum temperature of 24 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 28 degrees Celsius, with heavy rain drenching the city throughout the day.

Five-Day Weather Forecast
Here's what the next five days look like in Mumbai:
July 16: The minimum temperature will be a refreshing 25 degrees Celsius, and the maximum will settle at 28 degrees Celsius. Expect a cloudy sky accompanied by heavy rain.
July 17: With a minimum temperature of 24 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 27 degrees Celsius, the city will experience another day of heavy rain under cloudy skies.
July 18: Similar to the previous day, the minimum temperature will be 24 degrees Celsius, with a maximum of 27 degrees Celsius. Heavy rain and cloudy skies will persist.
July 19: The weather will cool down a bit with the minimum temperature dropping to 23 degrees Celsius, and the maximum remaining at 28 degrees Celsius. Rain is anticipated throughout the day.
July 20: The minimum temperature will stay at 23 degrees Celsius, while the maximum will rise slightly to 29 degrees Celsius. Rain is expected to continue.

Red Alerts
Ratnagiri: Expect heavy to very heavy rainfall at several places with extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places. Prepare for potential flooding and ensure safety measures are in place.
Orange Alerts
Raigad: Anticipate heavy to very heavy rainfall at several locations, with extremely heavy rainfall at isolated spots. Stay alert for sudden weather changes and potential landslides.
Sindhudurg: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected at multiple places. Be prepared for possible waterlogging and disruptions.
Pune and Satara (Ghat Areas): Extremely heavy rainfall is predicted in ghat regions. Moderate rainfall is expected in the plains. Caution is advised while travelling through ghat sections.
Kolhapur: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated spots in ghat areas, with light to moderate rainfall in the plains. Be vigilant for any weather-related disruptions.
Yellow Alerts
Palghar, Thane, Sangli, Sholapur, Aurangabad, Nanded, Latur, Osmanabad: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is anticipated at isolated locations. Keep an eye on weather updates and take necessary precautions.
Dhule, Nandurbar, Nasik, Jalna, Beed: Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, light to moderate rainfall, and gusty winds (30 to 40 kilometres per hour) are expected at isolated places. Secure loose objects and avoid open areas during thunderstorms.
Jalgaon, Ahmednagar: Thunderstorms with lightning, heavy rainfall, and gusty winds (40 to 50 kilometres per hour) are predicted at isolated locations. Be cautious of strong winds and stay indoors during severe weather.
Akola, Buldhana, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Gondia, Washim: Heavy rainfall and thunderstorms with lightning are expected at isolated places. Stay informed about the weather and be prepared for sudden changes.
Bhandara, Nagpur: Thunderstorms with lightning are likely to occur at isolated locations. Exercise caution and stay indoors during thunderstorms.
Maharashtra Monsoon Update
The IMD predicts that there is a possibility of more than average rainfall in most parts of Maharashtra. The 'El Nino' condition may remain neutral in the initial phase. But in the second phase of monsoon i.e. in July or August, 'La Nina' condition is likely to occur. The Meteorological Department has clarified that the La Nina conditions are favourable for this year's monsoon in the country.
