Maharashtra School Timings Changed: Devender Fadnavis Govt Announces Major Change In School Schedule Due To He
Maharashtra School Timings Changed: The Maharashtra government has decided that all schools in the state will now operate during morning hours. This change aims to protect students from the extreme heat wave currently affecting the region. The decision prioritises student health and safety.
According to a circular from the Maharashtra School Education Department, primary schools will open from 7:00 am to 11:15 am. Secondary schools will run from 7:00 am to 11:45 am. This schedule applies to every school in Maharashtra, regardless of management type.

Heat Wave Impact on Vidarbha
Vidarbha is experiencing severe heat, with temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius on March 28. Residents are finding it challenging to manage in such intense conditions. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts that Bhandara's temperature might hit 41 degrees Celsius, with a low of 29 degrees.
Despite the high temperatures, there is hope for some relief. Unseasonable rainfall is expected over the next few days across Marathwada, north, and central Maharashtra, including Vidarbha. This could help alleviate the current heat wave conditions.
Statewide School Timing Adjustments
The revised school timings are part of a broader effort to ensure student well-being during this period of extreme weather. By adjusting school hours, authorities aim to minimise exposure to peak heat times, reducing potential health risks for students.
