Maharashtra Pre-Poll Survey 2024: MVA To Win 151+ Seats, Check This Opinion Poll

Ahead of Maharashtra assembly elections 2024, a pre-poll survey conducted by Lok Poll suggests that the MahaYuti is likely to secure 115-128 seats out of a total of 288, while the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) is projected to win 151-162 seats.

The survey findings, if they hold true on results day, will come as a huge setback for the ruling party MahaYuti.

According to the survey, the Mahayuti is expected to secure between 115 and 128 seats in the 288-member Maharashtra Assembly, while the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), comprising Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress, and NCP, is projected to win 151-162 seats.

The MVA is shown to have a clear advantage in terms of vote share, with projections indicating the Mahayuti will receive 37-40% of the vote, compared to 43-46% for the MVA. The 'Others' category is expected to secure 16-19% of the vote share.

The Lok Poll pre-poll survey conducted a sample study involving approximately 300 respondents per constituency, totaling around 86,400 samples. This extensive polling was aimed at capturing a broad range of voter opinions across Maharashtra's diverse assembly constituencies.

If these survey results hold true, it would be a significant setback for the Mahayuti. In the general elections held in May this year, the MVA claimed 31 out of the 48 Lok Sabha seats in the state, while the NDA, the Mahayuti's predecessor, won only 17 seats.

The upcoming elections are a crucial test for both alliances, following five years of major political shifts in Maharashtra, including splits within two regional powerhouses, the Shiv Sena and the NCP.

Voting in Maharashtra is set for November 20, with the results expected on November 23.
