Maharashtra Chief Minister Initiates Vanaganga River Water Tourism Project

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde laid the foundation stone for the first phase of a water tourism project on the Vanaganga river. This project aims to boost tourism and create jobs in the district. The first phase of this water tourism centre in Bhandara district will cost Rs 102 crores.

CM Shinde also started various development works worth Rs 547 crores in Bhandara district. These include an underground gutter scheme in Bhandara and Pawni under the Nagarothan Abhiyan.

The beautification of ponds in Bhandara and Pawni under the Amrit Yojana will cost Rs 103 crores. There is also a road construction scheme worth Rs 75 crores. Various development works worth Rs 10 crores are planned for Bhandara and Pawni Municipal Council under Maharashtra Nagarothan Abhiyan.

Additionally, Rs 15 crores will be spent on development works in Bhandara and Pawni Municipal Council under the District Planning Committee. The District Sports Complex in Bhandara will get various facilities worth Rs 72 crores.

The Public Works Department will carry out various development works worth Rs 40 crores. These include improvement work from Kham Talab to Shastri Chowk State Road, Bhandara-Tumusar State Road, and Nagpur Naka to Rajiv Chowk.

CM Shinde said that Maharashtra is the state that gives crop insurance to farmers for one rupee. A bonus for food grains has also been announced. The government helps farmers the most and will not abandon them.

He added that the Samriddhi Highway will be extended to Bhandara Gondia. A 50 percent discount has been implemented in ST for women, and the daughter-daughter scheme has been introduced.

CM Shinde said that agricultural feeders will be installed on solar power so that farmers get ample electricity throughout the day. He also mentioned that the water tourism centre in the district will provide employment to many youths.
