First Victory in 2019

Vishwanath Bhoir was first elected to the state assembly in 2019. The five years that followed marked a turning point in Maharashtra's political landscape. Uddhav Thackeray broke ties with the alliance, forming a coalition with Congress and NCP at the last minute, and assumed the Chief Minister's post while securing a cabinet minister position for his son. Despite rejection by the public, both Congress and NCP, under Thackeray's leadership, found their way to power. Meanwhile, the BJP, which won the most seats, had to settle for the opposition benches, with Devendra Fadnavis, once the most popular candidate for CM, leading the opposition.

Thackeray, occupied with his CM duties, neglected the party organization, which led to a rebellion within Shiv Sena. Eknath Shinde, along with 40 MLAs, left for Guwahati, and with BJP's support, became the new Chief Minister. Shinde, carrying the Shiv Sena banner and its symbol of the bow and arrow, displayed his political strength in the Lok Sabha elections as well. The backing from MLAs in Thane and Palghar districts proved to be crucial for his success.

Development Work

After becoming Chief Minister, Shinde focused on rapid development in the constituencies of the MLAs who supported him. In Vishwanath Bhoir's Kalyan West constituency, projects worth hundreds of crores were initiated. One of the long-pending demands in Kalyan-Dombivli was the establishment of a 100-bed super-specialty hospital, which Bhoir had been actively pursuing, and Shinde's government approved it.

Multistorey Parking Facility

Mumbai continues to grow, and the Central Railway line has long crossed beyond Kalyan and Ambernath. The volume of commuters from Kalyan to Mumbai is immense, leading to significant traffic congestion. This has become a major issue for Kalyan residents, as traffic jams and a lack of parking space make driving during peak hours particularly difficult. However, the multi-story parking facility at Kalyan railway station, developed by Dilip Kapote, has significantly reduced this problem. This project has been a major relief for the city's residents, making transportation smoother.

The government has also created Gauripada Park, which has been well-received by local residents. Over 3,000 people regularly utilize the park's facilities. Bhoir also worked tirelessly to complete the rail bridge connecting Kalyan East and Kalyan West, which has greatly benefited commuters in these areas. Additionally, the Wadavali Cultural Park, completed under Bhoir's guidance, has become an attraction for the local community.

Vishwanath Bhoir has a strong rapport with the people of his constituency. He has often taken an active role in ensuring the implementation of various development projects, even fighting for audits and better infrastructure. After the hoarding accident in Ghatkopar, Bhoir pushed for a structural audit of all hoardings in Kalyan. He has been a strong advocate for an independent water supply project for Kalyan-Dombivli and is recognized for rushing to the scene during emergencies.

Under his leadership, the "Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana" has been successfully implemented, providing welfare to many. Bhoir is also keen on organizing job fairs to create more employment opportunities for the youth. With Kalyan-Dombivli being under the special focus of Shinde's son, MP Shrikant Shinde, local Shiv Sena candidates have significant backing. This has led Bhoir's supporters to believe that he will repeat his victory in the next election. Meanwhile, Uddhav Thackeray has fielded Sachin Basri as the candidate for this constituency.
