Maharashtra CM Oath Ceremony Live: Check Date, Time, Venue, Guest List For Devendra Fadnavis' Swearing-In

Devendra Fadnavis is poised to become Maharashtra's 21st Chief Minister. The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for December 5 at Azad Maidan from 5:30pm onwards. This event will be broadcast live across various public spaces, including bus stops and theatres, where administrative LED screens are installed. It is expected that more than 60,000 Mahayuti workers and supporters will attend the event.

For the extravaganza event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the chief guest, along with Union Ministers Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Sitharaman, and JP Nadda.

Reportedly, Opposition leaders Uddhav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar, Nana Patole, and others have also been invited for the swearing-in ceremony.

Business tycoon Mukesh Ambani and renowned personalities from the Marathi and Bollywood film industries are expected to attend the event.

The reports said puopular singer Kailash Kher and icons Ajay-Atul will perform during the ceremony.

More than 100 spiritual leaders and 'mahants' will also grace the oath ceremony and bless Devendra Fadnavis to take the state to new heights. Their presence underscores the cultural significance of this political transition in Maharashtra.

Political Dynamics

Shiv Sena Shinde faction head and former Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde is likely to serve as Deputy Chief Minister alongside Nationalist Congress Party chief Ajit Pawar. This move appoints all Mahayuti stalwarts in major positions within the Maharashtra government, according to PTI sources.

The BJP secured 132 seats in the 288-member House, while Shiv Sena obtained 57 seats and NCP garnered 41 seats. A simple majority requires 145 seats, indicating a strong coalition presence in the new government formation.

This swearing-in ceremony not only marks a new chapter for Devendra Fadnavis but also highlights the collaborative efforts among key political figures in Maharashtra's governance. The event reflects both political strategy and cultural celebration.
