In a strategic move ahead of the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024, Shiv Sena has announced its latest list of 15 candidates.

Among the prominent names in this latest list is BJP leader Shaina NC, who will be contesting on a Shiv Sena ticket from the Mumbadevi Assembly constituency. Currently serving as a spokesperson for the BJP, she aims to make her mark in an area that has been represented by Congress since 2009. The Mumbadevi constituency falls under the Mumbai Lok Sabha seat.

Shaina NC expressed a strong desire to contest from the Worli constituency in Mumbai, but the seat was ultimately allocated to Milind Deora, a Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP and former Congress leader. Deora will face off against Aaditya Thackeray, son of Uddhav Thackeray, representing Shiv Sena (UBT).

Additionally, two candidates from the Mahayuti alliance have been announced for the Hatkanangle and Shirol seats: Ashokrao Mane from the Jan Surajya Shakti Party and Rajendra Yedraokar from Rajarshi Shahu Vikas Aghadi. The remaining candidates are affiliated with the Shiv Sena.

- Nevasa: Vittalrao Patil
- Dharashiv: Ajit Pingale
- Karmala: Digvijay Bagal
- Barshi: Rajendra Raut
- Guhagar: Rajesh Bendal
- Hatkanangle: Ashokrao Mane (Jan Surajya Shakti Party)
- Shirol: Rajendra Yedraokar (Rajarshi Shahu Vikas Aghadi)

With this announcement, the Mahayuti alliance has declared candidates for 279 seats, leaving nine remaining. Among these, 146 candidates are from the BJP, 78 from Shiv Sena, 49 from the NCP led by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, and six from other parties.

Maharashtra, which comprises 288 Assembly seats, will conduct voting in a single phase on November 20, with the counting of votes scheduled for November 23.
