Jio MAMI Film Festival 2023: Priyanka Chopra Returns, Kareena Kapoor Khan's Movie Showcase
Global icon and Bollywood sensation Priyanka Chopra made a grand entrance in Mumbai, dropping hints of her homecoming on social media. With a tantalizing photograph of her passport, the celebrated actress revealed her journey to the bustling metropolis. Her caption, "Cannot wait. It's been a minute Mumbai," left fans thrilled about her return. The reason behind her visit to the city of dreams is none other than the prestigious Jio MAMI Mumbai Festival, scheduled from October 27 to November 5.
Priyanka Chopra, who serves as the chairperson of MAMI, will grace the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, the distinguished venue for this year's film festival. Her presence promises to add an aura of glamour and sophistication to the event.

In the early hours of Friday morning, Priyanka was spotted at Mumbai's bustling airport, looking as chic as ever. For her journey back to her homeland, she opted for a stylish ensemble, featuring a sleek black crop top paired with comfortable grey joggers and a flowing, long black shrug. Her loose, flowing hair added an element of casual elegance, and she adorned the look with a stone-studded choker. As she navigated her way through a crowd of enthusiastic fans and paparazzi at the arrival gate, Priyanka posed graciously for photographs, reaffirming her status as a fashion and style icon.
The Jio MAMI Mumbai Festival promises to be a star-studded affair, with Priyanka Chopra herself hosting the opening night alongside Isha Ambani. A constellation of Bollywood luminaries, including Sonam Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Rana Daggubati, and Kabir Khan, among many others, are set to grace the event as honored guests.
One of the festival's highlights is the screening of 'The Buckingham Murders,' directed by Hansal Mehta and co-produced by Ekta Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan. This gripping film will kickstart the festival on October 27 at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre. Notably, 'The Buckingham Murders' previously had its world premiere at the 67th BFI London Film Festival. Anupama Chopra, the Festival Director at Jio MAMI, expressed delight at featuring the film as the festival's opening night attraction, praising Hansal Mehta and Ekta Kapoor for redefining storytelling.
Kareena Kapoor Khan, who co-produced the film, expressed her excitement about 'The Buckingham Murders' opening the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival. She shared, "The Buckingham Murders is very special for me since it's my maiden voyage as a co-producer. Working with Hansal and Ektaa is a deeply satisfying and immersive process. We are only hoping our film will reach wider audiences and break barriers globally," emphasizing the significance of the film for her and the collaborative effort behind it.
