Murder or Suicide: Jiah Khan's mother's statement to be recorded

, Oct 24: In a latest development in

case, Bombay High Court asked Mumbai Police to record Rabia Khan's statement. Rabia, Jiah Khan's mother, claimed that her daughter did not commit suicide, rather she was killed.

After studying all evidences produced by Rabia, the high court on Wednesday, Oct 23 ordered a reinvestigation. The Juhu police has been asked by the court to register her complain and re-investigate into the matter.

Among the evidences provided by Rabia Khan were independent forensic probe reports that hint of a foul play. For instance, a CCTV camera footage showed Jiah minutes before her death. She was entering her house and did not look disturbed at all.

While the footage shows that the actor had entered her house in a black track suit, she was found hanging in a night gown. The petition asked whether someone who is bent on committing suicide would like to change before doing so. The first petition was filed by Rabia on Oct 1, insisting that the police investigated the injury marks thoroughly.

In her petition, Rabia also hurled serious allegations against Mumbai Police saying the cops allegedly had hushed up the investigation in a manner that the "truth did not come out".

Jiah was found dead in her apartment in Mumbai on June 3. Initially it was reported that the deceased Bollywood actress had committed suicide. Sooraj Pancholi, an aspiring actor and son of Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, was arrested. Later, he was granted bail. It was reported that Sooraj and Jiah were in a romantic relationship.
