IMD Warns Of Intense Rainfall: These Maharashtra Districts On High Alert; Also Check Mumbai Lakes Water Level

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for several regions across Maharashtra, warning of potential heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in the coming days. The alert has been divided into different categories based on the intensity and location of the rainfall.

The regions of Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg are expected to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places. In the ghat areas of Nandurbar, Pune, and Kolhapur, heavy to very heavy rainfall is also anticipated, with moderate rain likely in the plains. Similarly, Nasik and Satara are expected to receive extremely heavy rainfall in the ghat areas, while the plains might experience moderate showers.

Additionally, areas under the yellow alert include Palghar, Dhule, and Jalgaon, where heavy rainfall at isolated places is expected. Meanwhile, Akola, Amravati, Buldhana, Nagpur, Wardha, Washim, and Yavatmal are likely to witness thunderstorms accompanied by lightning at isolated places.

The weather in Mumbai today is forecasted to be generally cloudy, with heavy rain expected throughout the day. The temperature is predicted to range between 24 degrees Celsius and 30 degrees Celsius.

Apart from this, high tide will occur at 4:43 AM, with a water level of 3.82 meters, and again at 4:20 PM, with a water level of 3.66 meters. Low tide is expected at 10:37 AM, with a water level of 1.94 meters, and at 11:09 PM, with a water level of 0.92 meters.

Sunrise is at 6:22 AM, and sunset is at 6:58 PM.

On August 27, the temperature will range from 24 degrees Celsius to 31 degrees Celsius, with a generally cloudy sky and moderate rain.
On August 28, the temperature will be between 25 degrees Celsius and 31 degrees Celsius, with a generally cloudy sky and moderate rain.
On August 29, the temperature will range from 25 degrees Celsius to 32 degrees Celsius, and the sky will remain generally cloudy with moderate rain.
On August 30, the temperature will vary between 26 degrees Celsius and 33 degrees Celsius, with rain expected throughout the day.
On August 31, the temperature will also range from 26 degrees Celsius to 33 degrees Celsius, with continued rainfall.
