IMD Warns Of Intense Rainfall: These Maharashtra Districts On High Alert; Also Check Mumbai Lakes Water Level
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for several regions across Maharashtra, warning of potential heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in the coming days. The alert has been divided into different categories based on the intensity and location of the rainfall.
The regions of Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg are expected to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places. In the ghat areas of Nandurbar, Pune, and Kolhapur, heavy to very heavy rainfall is also anticipated, with moderate rain likely in the plains. Similarly, Nasik and Satara are expected to receive extremely heavy rainfall in the ghat areas, while the plains might experience moderate showers.

Additionally, areas under the yellow alert include Palghar, Dhule, and Jalgaon, where heavy rainfall at isolated places is expected. Meanwhile, Akola, Amravati, Buldhana, Nagpur, Wardha, Washim, and Yavatmal are likely to witness thunderstorms accompanied by lightning at isolated places.

On August 31, the temperature will also range from 26 degrees Celsius to 33 degrees Celsius, with continued rainfall.
