Helicopter makes 'hard' landing; Navy to order probe

Mumbai, Sep 18: A Chetak helicopter of the Indian Navy, whilst on a routine training sortie off Mumbai, made a hard landing at Uran, across the Mumbai harbour this morning.

Two pilots and two aircrew who were on board have suffered minor injuries but are safe, a Defence spokesperson said.

"Prima facie, the helicopter appears to have developed a technical snag," he said.

"There has been no damage to civil property," he added.

An inquiry will be ordered into the incident, the spokesperson said.
