Groundnut oil dips on subdued demand

Mumbai, Sep 08: Groundnut oil prices dipped further at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following subdued demand from stockists and retailers amid ample arrivals from producing region.

Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial slipped due to reduced demand from shippers and soap industries.

Refined palmolein and linseedoil ruled steady in the absence of any largescale buying.

In the edible segment, groundnut oil prices fell by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 1,260 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 1,270. Refined palmolein closed unchanged at Rs 630 per 10 kg.

Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold eased by Rs 10 per 100kg to Rs 3,790 from overnight close Rs 3,800 and castoroil commercial edged down by Rs 2 per 10kg to Rs 788 from Rs 790 previously.

Linseed oil ended unaltered at Rs 1,100 per 10kg.
