CBI probe into Gopinath Munde's death?
Mumbai, June 10: Maharashtra BJP president Devendra Phadnavis has said that Union Minister Rajnath Singh's response has reportedly been positive towards the demand of a CBI probe into former Rural Development minister Gopinath Munde's death.

Soon after Munde's accident, a strong demand for further investigations into the mishap was raised by Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and BJP leaders such as Prakash Anna Shengde and Awadhut Wagh.

Phadnavis along with Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari earlier today had met the Home Minister demanding a CBI probe into the death of Munde. He said that the duo had appraised the Home Minister of people's wishes regarding an investigation into the death of Munde, reported media.

Munde, 64 was going to the Indira Gandhi International Airport to catch a flight to Mumbai when his car was hit by a Tata Indica on the Prithviraj Road five-point crossing around 6.20 am on June 03.

The Tata Indica skidded over 30 feet and hit Munde's Maruti Suzuki SX4 with great force on the side where he was seated.
