Following intelligence inputs, Mumbai airport on high alert

This comes to light after there were many reports that the IM was planning to to organise terror attacks and hold hostage in exchange of the release of their co-founder Yasin Bhatkal.
The intelligence agency wrote to the Mumbai airport that they had received inputs on a possible threat, where the IM may hijack an aircraft or may take a smaller airport as hostage.
Following the input, security at the airport has been stepped up and functioning of flights is being monitored.
Bhatkal, one of the most wanted terrorist in the country was arrested in August last year for plotting terror attacks across the country.
