Fire Alerts In Maharashtra: Thane And Palghar Blaze Under Control; Cause Unknown

Two large fires broke out in Maharashtra on Sunday night and early Monday morning, with no casualties reported in either incident.

The first fire occurred in a pharmaceutical manufacturing unit located in Anand Nagar, MIDC Ambernath, in Thane district. The blaze began around 10:00 pm on Sunday, and firefighters from Ambernath, Kalyan, Ulhasnagar, and Badlapur were immediately called to the scene, according to Republic World. The fire has been partially contained, and efforts are ongoing to douse the flames. Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire, and no injuries have been reported so far.

In a separate incident, a massive fire erupted at a carpet warehouse near Tarapur, in the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) area of Palghar district, as per the Times Now report. Large clouds of smoke were seen billowing from the factory, as captured in visuals shared by news agency ANI. This fire broke out at around 7:00 am on Monday at a company that manufactures PVC carpets in the Boisar Mahagaon area.

MIDC fire station officer Vaibhav Tandel confirmed that the fire destroyed goods stored in the warehouse. Four fire tenders were dispatched to the site, and after more than two hours of efforts, the flames were brought under control by 9:30 am. While no casualties or injuries have been reported from this incident either, the cause of the fire remains unknown.

Both incidents are under investigation by local authorities, who are working to determine the origins of the fires. As of now, there is no further information on the damages or impact from either event.
