Fadnavis To Reign Again? BJP Set To Reveal Maharashtra’s New CM By Noon!
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to reveal its chief ministerial candidate for Maharashtra by noon today. This announcement follows a series of significant meetings at Vidhan Bhavan in Mumbai.
The decision will be made public after the legislative party leader is chosen during a meeting scheduled for 11 am.

Devendra Fadnavis, who has previously served as both chief minister and deputy chief minister, is considered a leading contender for the position. Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrashekar Bawankule stated, "State core committee meeting will be held at the BJP office at the Vidhan Bhavan followed by the state legislative party meeting at 11am. The legislative party leader will be elected by party MLAs in the meeting. The official announcement of the name will be done in a press briefing after it."
BJP's Legislative Meeting and Key Figures
Before the legislative party meeting, a core committee gathering is planned at the BJP's Vidhan Bhavan office. Former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman have been tasked with overseeing this crucial meeting. Their role is to ensure that the selection process for the legislative leader, who will become the chief ministerial nominee, runs smoothly.
The BJP emerged victorious in the recent elections held on November 20, securing 132 seats out of 288 in Maharashtra's Assembly. This win allows them to form a government alongside their allies Shiv Sena and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). Shiv Sena holds 57 seats while NCP has 41 seats.
Formation of Government and Swearing-in Ceremony
Once the legislative party leader is elected, they will join forces with leaders from Shiv Sena and NCP to formally claim their right to form a government at Raj Bhavan. The swearing-in ceremony for this new government is slated for December 5 at Azad Maidan.
The BJP's strategic alliances with Shiv Sena and NCP under the Mahayuti banner have paved the way for this coalition government. As these parties come together, they aim to steer Maharashtra towards development and progress.
This political development marks an important phase in Maharashtra's governance as parties collaborate to address key issues facing the state. With experienced leaders like Devendra Fadnavis potentially taking charge, expectations are high for effective administration.
