Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan hogged the limelight on Thursday as they hugged at the swearing-in ceremony of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Shah Rukh Khan was seen alongside his manager Pooja Dadlani. The visuals shared by PTI show Shah Rukh and Salman greeting each other with hugs. They both were dressed in dark suits. This gesture highlighted their camaraderie amidst the formal setting.

Political Leaders and Celebrities Gather
Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Sachin Tendulkar, Madhuri Dixit, Anant Ambani, Radhika Ambani, and Mukesh Ambani were also among the attendees. The presence of these celebrities added a touch of glamour to the political event.
The ceremony took place at Azad Maidan in south Mumbai. Security was heightened to ensure the safety of all attendees. The event marked Devendra Fadnavis's third term as Maharashtra's chief minister.
Political Dynamics and Alliances
NCP leader Ajit Pawar and Shiv Sena's Eknath Shinde took oaths as deputy chief ministers alongside Fadnavis. This political alliance followed intense negotiations after the state assembly elections on November 20, with results announced on November 23.
The BJP emerged victorious with 132 seats in the 288-member assembly. Together with allies Shiv Sena and NCP, they formed a coalition holding a majority of 230 seats.
Key Political Figures Attend
Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the ceremony along with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda. Other notable figures included Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Leaders from NDA-ruled states and Union Ministers were also present to support the new government formation under Fadnavis's leadership.
Future Discussions on Portfolios
The Shiv Sena announced that Eknath Shinde would meet Amit Shah post-ceremony to discuss Maharashtra's home portfolio. "After the swearing-in ceremony, Eknath Shinde will have a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and a decision will be taken regarding the home minister and other posts," stated Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Shirsat.
This significant political event not only marked a new chapter for Maharashtra but also showcased a blend of politics and entertainment through its diverse attendees.
