Cong-NCP tussle: Cong CEC meets in capital, NCP to hold crucial meet later
In order to do so, the Congress Core Committee met today morning at 10 Janpath, Delhi to discuss alliance issues with the NCP. Meanwhile, the NCP is expected to hold a crucial meeting at 3 pm in the afternoon on Monday.
This comes after the Congress offered 124 seats to the NCP instead of 144, which the NCP had demanded. Both the Congress and the NCP have threatened to contest the assembly elections alone.
Maharashtra CM Prithviraj Chavan had dismissed NCP leader Praful Patel's demand for 144 seats saying that 'such discussions are not held through press conferences.
