Check Out Mumbai's New Vegetable Prices - Some Costlier Than Petrol
Vegetable prices are skyrocketing in Mumbai, surpassing even the cost of petrol per kilogram, as per the report shared by the news agency Lokmat. Mumbaikars are facing tough choices at the dining table due to this.
Recent reports from local markets indicate a significant decrease in vegetable arrivals, causing prices to surge. The price of fenugreek pods has reached between Rs 160 to Rs 200 per kg, while tomatoes and okra are being sold at Rs 80 to Rs 100 per kg. This has led to concerns among residents, who now find basic vegetables less affordable than fuel, which has remained steady at Rs 104.21 per litre for the past three months.

Households, accustomed to receiving complimentary coriander from vendors, now face an additional cost of at least Rs 30 per bunch for this garnish due to rising prices.
