Bomb Threat Causes Panic At Dwarka Hotel; Nagpur Police Take Action

On Monday morning, a bomb threat e-mail sent to the Nagpur Police control room triggered panic, as reported by Lokmat Times. The email claimed an explosive device had been planted at Dwarka Hotel, near the bus stand in Ganesh Peth. In response, the police immediately dispatched teams, including a dog squad and fire brigade personnel, to the location.

Authorities quickly cordoned off the area and evacuated the hotel as a precaution. A thorough search operation was launched, and eyewitnesses reported a heavy police presence as officers inspected the hotel and its surroundings for suspicious objects.

More Than 40 Delhi Schools Targeted By Bomb Threat E-mails

In a separate incident, more than 40 schools in Delhi received bomb threats via e-mail on the same day. According to the Hindustan Times (HT) report, schools such as Mother Mary's School, British School, Salwan Public School, Delhi Public School (DPS), and Cambridge School were among those targeted. The threats first began with RK Puram's DPS and Paschim Vihar's GD Goenka School. Police confirmed that DPS received a threat at 7:06 am, while GD Goenka was sent the threat at 6:15 am.

The threatening e-mail read, "I planted multiple bombs inside (school) buildings. The bombs are small and hidden very well. It will not cause much damage to the building, but many people will be injured when the bombs detonate. If I do not receive $30,000 I will detonate the bombs," according to ANI.

In response, school administrations sent students home, while police, fire officials, bomb detection teams, and local officers conducted search operations. As of now, no suspicious items have been found at either DPS or GD Goenka.

This follows a similar incident from two months ago when several CRPF schools across Delhi and the country also received bomb threats via e-mail.
