Bollywood threatened: Who is gangster Ravi Pujari?

is not new to the presence of the Underworld and it is a well known fact that many Bollywood actors have received

from underworld dons in the past.

The latest victim of such threats is actor Sonu Sood. Sood received threatening calls from don Ravi Pujari. Sood's next film Happy New Year has been the latest target of Pujari. According to reports, Pujari first threatened Karim Morani, producer of the film and then made threatening calls to Sharukh Khan, Boman Irani and Sonu Sood.

Following these threats, the all the actors have been provided with a security cover.

However this is not the first time Pujari has made threatening calls to celebrities. In June, when Preity Zinta came out with assault allegations against her ex-beau Ness Wadia, Pujari confirmed that he made calls to Wadia, asking him to back off and not to mess with Zinta.

Who is Ravi Pujari?

Pujari is an Indian gangster from Mumbai. He began his criminal career in Mumbai and was in the news for killing a rival named, Bala Zalte. Shortly after this he joined don Chot Rajan.

In late 1990's he moved to Dubai and began extorting money from builders and hoteliers.

He is known to make calls to the police claiming that he targeted Dawood Ibrahim or his aide Chota Shakeel. As of now, Pujari is said to be hiding in Australia.

Though in Australia, his network is quite active in Mumbai. He is known to make calls to several celebrities and businessmen. Pujari is often seen demanding overseas rights of Bollywood films and events.

His men often attack people who refuse to give in Pujari's demands.
