After arrest, now Bollywood comedian Rajpal Yadav's passport seized
After spending three days in jail, the 42-year-old actor had moved the high court on Dec 6. The court then suspended his sentence and granted him time till Tuesday to file his statutory appeal.
"The sentence will remain suspended till its further order," said the court. The high court also relaxed the condition imposed by a single judge bench directing Yadav not to leave Delhi or the country without its permission.
Appellant (Yadav) can complete his projects within India but not in abroad
The bench accepted Yadav's submission that he has surrendered his passport to the registrar general of the Delhi high court and the condition that he will not leave Delhi or India will not serve any purpose as he has to travel for his projects.
"Appellant (Yadav) can complete his projects within India. However he will not travel outside the country," the bench said.Yadav and his wife have been accused of concealing facts about a Rs 5 crore recovery suit filed against them by a Delhi-based entrepreneur.
