In addition to this, An Air India flight, carrying 116 passengers, had to abort its take-off from Dabolim Airport in Goa on Wednesday morning following a bird strike. The incident occurred at 6:45 am, causing smoke to rise from the aircraft's engine, which led to the decision to cancel the take-off, according to airport director M. C. Jayarajan. The air traffic controller promptly reported the incident to senior authorities, Jayarajan added.

The flight was bound for Mumbai from Goa International Airport at Dabolim, located near Vasco in South Goa. "The take-off was aborted immediately, and the aircraft is now parked in the bay for further investigation," Jayarajan stated.

Dabolim Airport is part of the INS Hansa base of the Indian Navy. Jayarajan mentioned that the Airports Authority of India will address the issue of bird presence on the runway with the Navy, emphasising, "This is a serious matter."
