Baba Siddique's Son Zeeshan Receives Death Threat, ₹10 Crore Extortion Demand; Probe Launched
Zeeshan Siddique, a Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and the son of the late politician Baba Siddique, has received a death threat via email, Mumbai Police reported on Monday.
As per police officials, the email warned that Zeeshan would be murdered in the same manner as his father. The message also demanded ₹10 crore and threatened to send similar emails every six hours.

Zeeshan's father, Baba Siddique, also an NCP leader, was fatally shot by three attackers near his office in Mumbai's Nirmal Nagar on October 12, 2024.
In connection with the murder, the police have arrested two individuals - Salman Vohra and Akashdeep Singh. Vohra is alleged to have funded the assassination.
A senior officer from the Mumbai Crime Branch revealed that investigations uncovered plans by the Bishnoi gang to target a prominent Pune-based leader following Baba Siddique's murder.
Previously, in January, a special court issued a non-bailable warrant against gangster Anmol Bishnoi and two other wanted suspects in relation to the case.
Special Judge B D Shelke, overseeing cases under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA), stated in the order that the court was convinced Bishnoi had absconded and would not comply with a court summons.
