At least 17 dead in Mumbai-Pune expressway accident
Mumbai, June 5: At least 17 persons were killed in a ghastly road accident involving a bus and two private vehicles on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway near Panvel on Sunday, officials said.
According to State Highway Control, the accident occurred near Shendug curve on the Pune-Mumbai arm of the E-Way around 4.00 a.m.

Due to the impact of the collision, one of the private cars was thrown into a 40-feet deep ditch.
Among the victims are seven women and one child.
Four of the injured victims were rushed to hospitals in Panvel.
