After actor Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan has reportedly received a death threat and demanded Rs 50 lakh.

The actor got a threat over a call and a case has been filed at the Bandra Police Station. The caller has identified himself as Faizan and belongs to Raipur in Chhattisgarh. He has been taken into custody by the Mumbai Police, Times Now reported.

It comes at a time when Salman Khan has received several death threats. Just days ago, a fresh threat was issued with a demand of Rs 5 crore. A person claiming to be from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's gang claimed the responsibility.

Authorities tracked down the suspect in Hubballi, Karnataka. According to an official, the Mumbai traffic police control room in Worli received a threat message on its WhatsApp helpline late Monday night. The message demanded that Salman Khan apologize, reportedly over the 1998 blackbuck poaching incident.

The message stated, "If Salman Khan wants to stay alive, he should visit our (Bishnoi community) temple and apologize or pay Rs 5 crore. If he doesn't comply, we will kill him; our gang remains active."

Khan has faced similar threats in the past. On October 29, a threat was sent to the same helpline, warning that both Khan and city NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique would be killed if they did not pay Rs 2 crore.
