23-Year-Old Woman Dies After Accidentally Pressing Accelerator While Trying To Reverse In Sulibhanjan Hills
In a shocking incident, a 23-year-old woman dies after accidentally reversing her car off a 300-foot cliff in Maharashtra's Sulibhanjan hills. The incident, which took place on Monday afternoon was captured on camera by her friend who was recording a video of her learning how to drive.
The video shows 23-year-old Shweta Deepak Surwase in the driver's seat while her friend, 25-year-old Suraj Sanjau Mule, records. The pair had traveled from Aurangabad to the Sulibhanjan hills, a popular tourist spot near the Dattatreya temple.

At around 2 PM, Ms. Surwase got into the car and began reversing. Initially, the vehicle was about 50 meters away from the cliff. However, as she continued to back up, the car's speed increased, and her friend, Suraj, urged her to slow down. He shouted, "Clutch, clutch, clutch," as the car's engine revved. Despite his efforts to stop her, the car rolled off the cliff and fell into the gorge, resulting in Ms. Surwase's death.
Eyewitnesses reported that the car tumbled down the 300-foot high cliff before coming to rest in the ditch below. Visuals from the scene showed the mangled remains of the vehicle.
The Sulibhanjan hills are a popular destination during the rainy season, attracting many tourists who come to enjoy the picturesque scenery.
