But the fearless and courageous girl did not turn a blind eye towards what happened to her and dragged the man by his hair to a nearby police station Government Railway Police (GRP) chowkie, all by herself, even as the onlookers watched the incident as mute spectators.

Pradnya, who is a Mass Media student at Sathaye College in Vile Parle, was returning from her college around 2.30 pm when the incident happened. She had to board a local train from Vile Parle to Borivali.

Pradnya said that a drunk man started touching her inappropriately, that left her shocked, but she decided to not keep quiet and firmly handled the situation.

The accused was identified as 25-year-old Chavan and he will be produced in court on Thursday.

Pradnya was quoted saying as, "Every woman should fight back in such cases and they should not keep quiet. I am grateful that the police also helped me and arrested the accused. I also asked the police officers to teach the accused a lesson so that he would not dare to molest a woman ever again."
