MSME Ministry Issues Warning Against Unauthorized Claims by Export Promotion Council
The Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) issued a warning about the "unauthorized and ill-intentioned" actions of the MSME Export Promotion Council. The ministry clarified that it has no connection with this council. Concerns arose due to messages circulating in media and social media regarding appointments by the council, which allegedly used the ministry's name.
In a statement, the ministry emphasized, "Ministry of MSME, Government of India is not associated with the MSME Export Promotion Council in any way. Also, the Ministry of MSME has not authorized any posting or appointment to any post related with this council." This clarification aims to prevent public confusion and potential deception.
The MSME Export Promotion Council's website now features a pop-up message. It states that the council is a private entity and not affiliated with the Government of India. This measure seeks to address misunderstandings about its status and operations.
The message further clarifies that Shri Harinarayan Rajbhar, a former Member of Parliament, is not involved with the MSME Export Promotion Council. He holds no position within the council's Uttar Pradesh chapter or elsewhere. This clarification aims to prevent any misrepresentation regarding his association.
Additionally, the council specifies that it operates solely from its Delhi Corporate Office. It has no branches or representatives outside Delhi, ensuring all communications are directed appropriately. This step is intended to streamline interactions and avoid confusion about its official presence.

The ministry advises the public to be cautious and not fall for misleading messages or individuals claiming false affiliations. This warning serves as a protective measure against potential scams or misinformation related to the council's activities.
The ministry's proactive approach highlights its commitment to safeguarding public interests by addressing unauthorized claims promptly. By clarifying its non-association with the MSME Export Promotion Council, it aims to maintain transparency and trust among stakeholders.
