During his speech, Sinha emphasised the importance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) in driving innovation and economic progress. He mentioned that the IP facilitation centre in Jammu and Kashmir will support entrepreneurs, MSMEs, and startups in filing IPRs and assist innovators with the registration process.
The IP Yatra conclave aims to guide MSMEs, innovators, and startups in effectively utilising various IPR instruments such as GI tags, patents, trademarks, and copyrights. Sinha praised the efforts of the MSME Ministry and the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry for raising awareness about IPRs. This initiative is expected to protect and develop trade and businesses in the region.

The J&K Administration remains dedicated to fostering innovation and promoting intangible assets like IPRs.
At the event's opening session, Lt Governor Sinha reaffirmed the J&K Administration's dedication to nurturing innovation and promoting intangible assets like Intellectual Properties and Geographical Indications.
