UP Transport Corporation restricts leave of all employees for Raksha Bandhan

Meerut, Aug 7: To ensure availability of transport facilities on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the UP Transport Corporation has restricted the leave of all employees from August 16-21.

An incentive scheme will be implemented at headquarter level for those who come for continuous duty during this period.

To ensure availability of transport for commuters in the festive season, no leave will be approved for any driver, conductor and technical worker of the Roadways except under special circumstances between Aug 16-21, UP Roadways (Meerut Division) Manager Manoj Kumar Pandey said today.

He said adequate number of buses are being arranged to ply between Meerut and Delhi, Dehradun, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Agra, Lucknow, Bareilly during the festival.

Service manager S L Sharma has issued strict orders to all depots to provide on-road services during the period failing which stringent action will be taken against them.
