During a review meeting in Lucknow, the Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh is progressing towards its one-trillion-dollar economy goal. Officials briefed that almost 93 per cent of the Gross Domestic Product target has already been reached. Yogi Adityanath noted that the state has the capacity to grow fast and asked departments to stay focused.

The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, reiterated that the state is “slowly moving toward achieving the goal of a one-trillion-dollar economy” and stressed steady monitoring. Yogi Adityanath directed officials to conduct monthly reviews, clear files on time, ensure suitable budget allocations, and keep real-time data updated across departments to track the Uttar Pradesh economy.

Officials at the meeting were told to remove bottlenecks that delay projects, maintain closer coordination among departments, and match physical progress with financial spending. Yogi Adityanath underlined that accurate digital records would support better planning and transparency, while the near 93 per cent achievement showed that the Uttar Pradesh economy target is within reach.

At a separate event in Lucknow, Yogi Adityanath opened the centenary year celebrations of Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, calling the occasion a symbol of India’s shared heritage. Addressing faculty, students and guests, CM Yogi said the institution’s journey reflected how cultural institutions support social strength alongside the Uttar Pradesh economy and governance priorities.

Addressing the gathering, CM Yogi said, "Today's centenary celebration is not merely a regional event, but a reflection of India's cultural and spiritual pursuit and national consciousness. It is a testament to the cultural unity of India, passed down through generations, giving a new identity to its voice, rhythm, and traditions. This centenary celebration, which is forging a new identity today, provides us with the opportunity to come together and celebrate this tradition."

Yogi Adityanath then spoke about the role of culture in shaping a nation’s character and future. The Chief Minister stated, "The soul of a nation resides in its culture. Just as a human body dies when the soul separates from it, a nation loses its identity if its culture is severed. However, Indian art, through its unique traditions and expressions, has preserved and strengthened India's identity." Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath added, "Our Indian culture, through its various forms, has established itself in the world as a timeless and eternal culture."

The university traces its roots to 1926 when Pt. Vishnu Narayan Bhatkhande founded a music school in Lucknow, then part of the princely state of Awadh. With support from Rai Umanath Bali, Rai Rajeshwar Bali and other patrons, the institution was launched as "Marris College of Music" after inauguration by Sir William Marris, the governor of Awadh.

According to the university’s website, two major figures of Indian music, Pandit Vishnu Digambar Paluskar and Pandit Vishnu Narayan Bhatkhande, guided parallel streams in formalising music education. Their work helped develop structured training systems, which later shaped Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya’s curriculum, linking classical traditions with organised teaching while the Uttar Pradesh economy and society evolved around them.

Together, the economic review and the centenary celebration presented Yogi Adityanath’s twin focus on growth and heritage.
