Agra: 24-year-old man livestreams suicide on Facebook after failing to get Army job

Agra, July 12: Disappointed with not being able to crack Indian Army exam, a 24-year-old man live-streamed his suicide on Facebook in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. The man has been identified as Munna Kumar, a BSc graduate.

He shared the 1: 09-minute long video of his confession on Facebook before live-streaming his suicide.

Around 2,700 people watched the video, but nobody raised an alarm or alerted his family and they got to know about the incident, only after Kumar had died. He also left a six-page suicide note in which he blamed himself for not being able to crack the Army entrance examination and disappointing his parents. At the end of the note, he wrote "Jai Hind".

According to reports, Munna Kumar was under depression for some time. Munna's family said he was preparing for the entrance examination since the age of 17 and had appeared in the exam for five times.

The body has been sent for autopsy by the police.
