According to Drik Panchang, the ideal time to tie Rakhi is during Aparahna, which is late afternoon. If this time is missed, Pradosh time in the evening is also suitable. However, rituals should be avoided during Bhadra time. The auspicious period for tying Rakhi on August 19 starts at 1:30 pm and ends at 9:08 pm.

For those observing Aparahna time, it lasts from 1:43 pm to 4:20 pm. Pradosh time extends from 6:56 pm to 9:08 pm. The Bhadra period concludes at 1:30 pm on the same day. The Purnima Tithi begins at 3:04 am and ends at 11:55 pm on August 19.
