Kolkata, Oct 12: WBPSC Recruitment 2022: West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) has invited applications from the eligible candidates for the Posts of 1) Senior Scientific Officer and 2) Scientific Officer in Narcotics Division of Forensic Science Laboratory, West Bengal and Laboratory Assistant in West Bengal General Service Cadre. There are 10 Vacancies (02+04+04) earmarked for all 03 Posts. Candidates who wish to apply for more than 1 (one) category of posts should submit separate application along with requisite fees for each. The online application process will start on October 19, 2022 on the official website - wbpsc.gov.in.

Application Fee :- The candidates will have to pay Rs 210/- for Senior Scientific Officer and for Lab Assistant and Scientific Assistant, candidates would require to pay Rs 160/-.

Age Limit :-

Age Limit for the post is not more than 36 years as of 01.01.2022 relaxable at the discretion of the Public Service Commission, West Bengal for the candidates having higher qualifications and/or longer experience than those prescribed.

1. Senior Scientific Assistant - 36 years as on 01.01.2022
2. Scientific Assistant - 39 years as on 01.01.2022
3. Laboratory Assistant - 40 years as on 01.01.2022

Salary:

Selected Candidates have to get the Pay Scale is level 12 of the pay matrix (Rs.35,800/- - Rs.92,100/-) As Per WBS(ROPA) Rules,2019.

As per the Notification, Candidates shall pass a M.Sc. Degree in Chemistry with at least 50% marks or above from a recognized University with Two years' post-degree experience in imparting training in Industries/Institutions of repute or two years experience in the related field in Industries/Establishment of repute.

Where the number of applications received in response to the advertisement is large and it is not conveniently possible for the Commission to interview all the applicants, the Commission may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview.
