WB: Trinamool Chhatra Parishad leader Tarun Sen held for assaulting, extortion bid on student
Kolkata, July 15: The West Bengal Police on Sunday arrested Trinamool Chhatra Parishad leader Tarun Sen for allegedly demanding extortion money (for admission) from a student.
It is learnt that the student went to Bagdogra police station and lodged an FIR naming Sen and his aides.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
Earlier on 2 July, police had arrested Tetan Saha a youth Trinamool leader and former general secretary of Seth Anandaram Jaipuria College in Kolkata for involvement in such a racket.
