Two elephant carcasses found in WB
Midnapore (WB), Sept 14: Carcasses of two elephants were found in two forests in Goaltore area of West Midnapore district, a forest official said today.
While the carcass of one was spotted in Tangasole forest area, another was found in Patharmari forest last night, Divisional (Rupnarayanpur) Forest Officer Arnab Sengupta said.

As per post-mortem report, one died of a snake bite and another of cardiac arrest, Sengupta said, adding that the male elephants aged between 8 and 9 years were part of a herd that had entered the forests from Dalma wildlife sanctuary in Jharkhand.
