TMC workers prepare helipad for Mamata with cow dung

Kolkata, April 21: Dedication couldn't be better than this. Supporters of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), the ruling party in West Bengal, set up an entire helipad with cow dung so that the party supremo and chief minister of the state, Mamata Banerjee, didn't face trouble due to the flying dust when her helicopter lands. The unique incident occurred in Khargram in Murshidabad district of West Bengal on Saturday, a report in leading Bengali Ei Samay said on Monday.

Banerjee addressed three rallies in Murshidabad on Sunday.

TMC workers worried that Mamata could get angry or fall sick because of dust

The local TMC leaders were worried that Banerjee could get annoyed or fall sick because of the heavy dust after her helicopter lands at the venue in Murshidabad and decided to make a helipad after addressing the dusty soil with cow dung. Each party worker was asked to bring ten sacks of cow dung from his or her respective village, said the report. Local women were roped in to prepare the helipad.
