Trinamool leader's daughter kidnapped in WB
Barasat (WB), Sep 18: The teenage daughter of a Trinamool Congress leader and councillor of Basirhat Municipality in North 24 Parganas district was kidnapped at gunpoint today, police said.
The 15-year-old girl had gone to her sister's place at Gajalmari in Basirhat, from where four motorcycle-borne men abducted her at gunpoint, the police said quoting the FIR lodged on the complaint by the victim's family.
Her father Laltu Mondal is a Trinamool Congress leader and the councillor of Ward number two of the municipality.
Police have started raiding various places in search of the girl.
