Shootout at Kolkata kindergarten, 2 killed, school principal arrested

, Nov 11: After US, now firing inside a school compound in Kolkata, West Bengal shocked all. Two people have been killed and the school principal and her aide were taken into

custody on Monday, Nov 11.

However, unlike firing incident in US schools, students were not involved in the shootout in the Kolkata kindergarten. According to sources, violence erupted over property dispute.

After checking CCTV footage, police officials informed that the shooting took place around 4.30 am at a home from where a nursery school is run on Short Street.

The school principal reportedly told that a group of 15 people allegedly barged into the school compound. According to police, the security guard of the school then opened fire to protect the principal.The guard, who has been identified as Pappu Khan, has also been arrested.

The principal reportedly told police that she had had filed a police complaints regarding the threats she has been receiving over the property. She also has alleged that she was manhandled by miscreants.

The disputed property is said to be located at a short distance from the Police Commissioner's residence at Loudon Street. Four people have been detained with regard to the to the incident. The injured has been admitted to SSKM Hospital where his condition is stated to be "critical".
