Saradha: CBI mulls second summon to Trinamool minister, may take stern step if he evades again
Kolkata, Nov 25: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is mulling to send another summon to West Bengal Transport Minister Madan Mitra, who is currently undergoing treatment in a government hospital, in connection to the Saradha chit fund scam.
Mitra was summoned by the central investigating agency last week but the former skipped it citing health reasons. The other Trinamool Congress leader, Srinjoy Bose, an MP who was also summoned by the CBI along with Mitra, was arrested.

Local reports said CBI officials met over interrogating Mitra and decided that they could send another summon to Mitra who is likely to get released from hospital in a couple of days. The CBI also decided that it would take stern measure against the minister if he did not turn up even after receiving the second summon.
Mitra was first admitted in a luxurious private hospital in Kolkata but later shifted base to the government hospital for unknown reasons. He underwent a number of medical tests in the hospital though doctors said he was in a condition to speak.
