Priest's body found inside temple

Malda, June 17: A body of a priest, bearing multiple wounds, was today found inside a temple in the outskirts of Malda town, the police said.

An axe was found beside the body, which was lying in a pool of blood, the police said. The priest, 55-year-old Prasanna Das, used to stay in the temple premises at Railway Colony under Englishbazar police station limits.

The matter was being investigated.
