Meeting CBI on Saradha: Even Gandhi, Nehru & Bose went to jail, says Mamata's minister
Kolkata, Dec 12: West Bengal Transport Minister Madan Mitra, who is set to meet the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection to the Saradha scam, reportedly said on Thursday that all leaders go to jail. Even the likes of Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and Subhash Chandra Bose had gone to jail.
So the heroes of the freedom movement are equated with the accused in a financial scam?

Mitra, who was summoned by the CBI last month, could not appear for he claimed himself to be sick. He went to a luxurious private hospital in Kolkata but later shifted to a government hospital for mysterious reasons. He underwent treatment there and was released on November 26. The Trinamool Congress leader was summoned again on December 8.
Mitra, who reportedly suffered a 'panic attack' at the time of the first summon, was found trying to boost his loyalists by mentioning about the trio of the freedom struggle but sources said the minister himself was struggling to overcome his growing nervousness. The arrest of TMC's Rajya Sabha MP Srinjoy Bose who was also summoned by the CBI last month said to have rattled Mitra more.
Kunal Ghosh, another Rajya Sabha MP of the TMC, has also been arrested in connection to the Saradha scam.
The minister's supporters are not convinced by his analogy of jailing of the heroes of the freedom movement. In case Mitra is let off by the CBI, the supporters would organise a felicitation ceremony or else, they would call for a protest rally.
Mitra said he was ready fir CBI's interrogation. But then why was he speaking on the trio's imprisonment?
