Mamata Banerjee to meet industrialists on Oct 28

Kolkata, Oct 23: Continuing with the tradition set four years ago, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee would meet industrialists of the state and members of chambers of commerce on October 28, state's Industry Minister Partha Chatterjee said.

"The chief minister will meet the industrialists of West Bengal and those who have business interests in the state on the evening of October 28 in the city," Chatterjee told reporters here today.

He said this would be a get-together after 'Bijoya' (Vijaya Dashmi or Dussehra festival) where industrialists would get a chance to air their views before the chief minister, he said.

He said Banerjee had started this familiarity exercise in 2010 when Trinamool Congress was in the Opposition. This would be the third one after her party came to power in 2011.
