Mamata Banerjee congratulates Sakshi Malik for winning Olympic medal
Kolkata, Aug 18: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday (Aug 18) congratulated wrestler Sakshi Malik on winning a bronze medal at the Rio Olympics.
"Whole of India says with you together 'Jai Hind'," Banerjee tweeted this morning.
The 23-year-old grappler from Haryana clinched a bronze medal beating Kyrgyzstan's Aisuluu Tynybekova 8-5 in women's 58 kg freestyle category ending India's painful wait for a medal at the Rio Olympic Games.
