Kolkata shocker: 16-year-old sexually assaulted inside Botanical Garden
Kolkata, July 20: In a shocking incident, 16-year-old girl was gangraped inside a Botanical garden at Shibpur in Howrah district, on Sunday, July 19.
According to TOI report, the victim has been admitted to Howrah State General Hospital.

Around 4.30 pm, a security guard found the girl lying in an unconscious condition near Prien Lake , adjacent to the Great Banyan Tree. The girl had injury marks on her body.
The guard, then, informed the Garden director Arabindo Pramanick and police rushed to the spot at 5 pm.
The teenager is said to be a resident of Murarai in Birbhum. After being pressurised by her family for getting married, girl fled from her home and took a train to Howrah.
The Chief Medical Officer informed that the girl had gone to the garden to meet her lover, without informing her family.
ADC (Headquarter), Howrah Commissionerate, Tathagata Basu told Daily, "At Howrah station she met an unknown youth who took her to Botanical Garden. The person gave her a cold drink and after taking that she became unconscious. She didn't know what happened after that."
CCTV footage showed that the girl was accompanied by a youth, when she entered inside the garden. The youth is absconding.
