CPM MLA refuses to apologise after derogatory remark on Mamata

The ruling Trinamool Congress hit out at Rahman over the remark and decided to issue a notice to the MLA in the assembly. Rahman, however, said that he did not care for he did not say anything wrong.
The MLA said if Banerjee gets married, will she sport green vermillion
This is not the first time that the CPI(M) MLA has targetted Banerjee. In December 2012, he had made objectionable comments against Banerjee over the issue of rape, putting his own party in embarrassment. Later, he made an apology, saying what he had said was not intended to be a personal attack. He also apologised in the assembly. But this time, he has refused to soften his stand.
Another senior TMC leader Mukul Roy also criticised Rahman, saying the language used in politics should be decent. Left Front chairman Biman Bose, however, didn't warn Rahman and put the blame on the media.
