Kolkata, April 25: A three-year-old girl of a family which supports the CPI(M) was heckled by some goons allegedly backed by the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) in Bijpur constituency in North 24 Parganas on the eve of the fourth phase of the West Bengal Assembly election on Monday (April 25). The child, Sayantika Samajpati, was manhandled by the goons while his parents had fractured limbs in the attack which took place on their home apparently to discourage them from casting their ballots.
However, the attacked family members refused to budge and said they would cast their votes, come what may. The little Toto told the media that some people hit him in his hand.

Left candidate attacked; sustains injury in hand
Tanmay Bhattacharya, who is contesting on the Left's ticket in Dum Dum North against minister Chandrima Bhattacharya, was attacked by some goons and his car was vandalised. Bhattacharya sustained injuries in his hand but refused tor eceive treatment till the culprits were arrested.
